How to use the winrar archive patch on your client:

Extract the zip contents into the client as so:

Press yes to all when prompted for overwriting:

ok now i cant patch, i downloaded the patch 606 you have it says patch fails when i try to manual patch

why does this have to be so difficult? i just dont understand. it seems like the directions say to overwrite the original pwi folder.

k installed ok i guess. client looks new. it says version 1.4.5 build 2305 but i start it says version too low?

it doesnt matter if its not in the same place, that doesnt change anything.
If you reached 1.4.5 then you patched the offical client to v612 which is what i said not to do, and will not work.

Reinstall and use manual to 606 then the .rar (make sure you overwrite), then run the patcher.
If it looks like the devastation patcher and not the pwi genesis one, you're all good and can update to v4.

you most likely patched the wrong client (the pwi one instead of the v606 one) with the small deva patch

^ After i patched the rar to pwi , it updated as devastation autopatcher and went till version 7 ..but this error is coming whenever i try to start the game

- You download PWI and this patch http://pwi-ns.perfectworld.com/patches/manual//ec_patch_580-606.cup. Btw don't autopatch anything.

- Manual patch PWi to 606.

- Download the Devastation files from this thread and just drag them to C:\Perfect World Entertainment\Perfect World International.

- Press YES to everything.

- Open Devastation, let auto patch, play.

It's a Rar file and it should contain folders which you drag in your pwi folder like shown in robb's guide.

okay i have prob to get in game to got some error and now i saw when i reapting process 3rd time my current file has 7 bytes and i am replacing it with the one with 5 bytes and your has 5 at the beginning does that have any matter with the thing i cant get in-game just wanted to check ....(probably not but still)
